No. 242. (R).
His Majesty' a Consul-General Shanghai has drawn attention to the fact that companies registered in Hongkong can evade Article 3 of the China Company's
amendment order 1919 as ordinance of 1915 has not been
amended to coincide with order of 1919.
I would suggest that Colonial Office be moved to
issue necessary instructions for amendment.
